This contract involved design/build reclamation services support for the MD of Foothills 2013 Flood Recovery program. Grumpy's installed over 70,000 live cuttings on 20+ project locations in a short two-season construction period. The scope of work included:
Bioengineering excavation and preparation.
Supply and delivery of live Willow, Balsam Poplar and Dogwood stakes.
Drill seeding and erosion control (site preparation, grass seeding and placement of a biodegradable cocomatting)
Bioengineering maintenance, which included biweekly watering and vegetation management for a period of five months.

Grumpy’s scope of work on this project involved proposal, planning and execution of 19 hectares of rolled erosion control product and site management on two separate site contracts – Stoney Trail and Airport Trail, which are high-volume main arterial roadways in Calgary.

This commercial landscaping project involves the beautification of the Archmount Cemetery entryway for the City of Lethbridge. The scope of work includes artisan concrete, landscape carpentry, stone masonry features, low maintenance beds, irrigation, and metal fabrication. The design was focused on artisan features with aesthetic appeal, and upgrades to maintain accessibility and lower maintenance costs for hand-over to the City of Lethbridge cemetery operations.
This project also includes a two-year maintenance contract following construction, which includes germination and vegetation management by Grumpy’s for quality control to meet contract specifications and requirements.
